Buena Vista Community Center, Pinon Room
The League of Women Voters of Chaffee County and the Sangre de Cristo Electric Association (SDCEA) will co-sponsor a forum with the Association’s board candidates on April 30th from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Buena Vista Community Center Pinon Room. Among the seven seats on the SDCEA board, two are up for election in 2024–-an at-large representative seat and a rural Chaffee/Lake County representative seat. Members may vote on all candidates. Sandra (Sandy) D. Long and Edward H. Simmons, both of Chaffee County, are candidates for the At-Large seat. Charles A. Abel II will run unopposed as a candidate for the Rural Chaffee/Lake County representative position. Paper ballots will be mailed to all SDCEA members on April 24th.
